Lyra Education was founded by an International School graduate who moved between International Schools in Singapore, Japan, and Thailand, earned the IB Bilingual Diploma, and went on to ICU (International Christian University). Having lived the international-school path across three countries and two languages, the founder built Lyra so that students could be taught by people who had genuinely been there — not observers, but graduates who did the exact courses and scored at the top of them.

The IB isn't only hard academically. It's the IA deadlines, the exam pressure, switching schools and countries, and doing it all in a second language. Students often get good help with the work — and almost none with everything around it. Lyra closes that gap: a tutor who actually did the student's exact subject and scored at the top of it, plus genuine support with the stress and the road to university.

A grade is a by-product, not the goal. The goal is a student who can think for themselves, ask better questions, and walk into an exam — or a new country — without fear. Lyra hires only people who have walked that path, keeps classes one-to-one so nobody hides at the back, and treats a student's wellbeing as inseparable from their results.
