Terms of Service.

The service

Lyra Education provides 1-on-1 online tutoring for International School and IB students (IB, IGCSE/A-Level, AP, TOEFL/IELTS), conducted over Google Meet, together with university-admissions support and wellbeing consultations (悩み相談).

Trial and enrollment

Your first trial session (40 minutes) is free, with no obligation to continue. Enrollment begins only when both the family and Lyra agree to continue after the trial.

Fees and payment

Session fees are as listed on the Pricing page. There is no registration fee and no withdrawal fee. Lessons are billed in short cycles (per session or monthly) — we do not sell large prepaid lesson packages.

Campaign discounts (e.g. the monthly campaign) apply as described at the time of enrollment.

Scheduling and cancellation

Lessons are scheduled by agreement between the family and the tutor. Rescheduling and cancellation terms are confirmed at enrollment; we ask for reasonable notice so tutors' time is respected.

Tutor changes

You may request a different tutor at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason.

Recordings

Sessions are recorded solely for the enrolled student's own review, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Honest expectations

We match students with tutors who scored highly in the exact subject and teach with genuine care. However, grades depend on many factors, and we do not guarantee any specific score or admissions outcome. Our liability in connection with the service is limited to the fees you have paid.
